ECDE - Certified DevSecOps Engineer
Overview
ECDE trains you to embed security at every stage of the DevOps cycle: from planning and development through to production, monitoring and incident response.
Training Objectives
- Understand the key principles of DevSecOps and the "Security as Code" culture.
- Build secure CI/CD pipelines with automated SAST/DAST scanning.
- Secure containerised environments and orchestrators (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Configure security controls in cloud environments (AWS, Azure) and on-premises.
- Implement continuous monitoring and alerting to detect and remediate incidents.
Target Audience
DevOps engineers, cloud architects, cybersecurity professionals, developers looking to automate security, and technical managers.
Prerequisites
Basic knowledge of Linux and version control tools (Git), understanding of the SDLC, familiarity with cloud services (AWS/Azure) and common vulnerabilities.
Curriculum
- Module 1: Introduction to DevSecOps and its workflows
- Module 2: Designing secure CI/CD pipelines
- Module 3: Code security: SAST, DAST and security testing
- Module 4: Container and Kubernetes security
- Module 5: Cloud security: secure configuration on AWS and Azure
- Module 6: Monitoring, logging and incident response
- Module 7: Full hands-on workshop on a DevSecOps project
Duration & Format
3 days, in-person or remote, alternating theory sessions, practical workshops and real-world use cases.
